You follow the rather long and narrow hallway as it curves gently. It continues to curve gently, and be narrow as well as long, for quite some time. And just when you don't think it can possibly continue to curve gently any longer, it does. It also remains steadfastly long, as well as narrow.
You begin to walk faster, then break out into a run. There are no doors, no branching halls. The hall just seems to go on endlessly!
Finally you see the opening at the end, and your heart leaps in relief. As you emerge into the room feeling a great sense of relief, and sweating like a madman, you realize you've been here before. This is the the lobby.
"Oh, crap," you may have said.
