You reach deep into your pocket. Before you take out your money, you count the 5 gold with your fingers in your pocket. You hand it over to the old man, who squeezes it with joy and then leads kindly to your room. He leads through a corridor and then a staircase to the basement. Descending the stairs, he stops at a battered worn door and then takes a huge keyring out of his pocket. He searches for it for a while and then finds the right key on it. Paste into the lock. The door opens. It leads into a musty basement room. The room has a single dilapidated bed. The tiny darkroom has only one tiny latticed window. You look at the old man in the woods. This is it? You gave him 5 gold for a thousand, but not one. You’re pretty tired now, so you don’t argue. Now you think it’s more important to get some food. You ask the old man is this something to bite for real. "I didn't count as a guest .." he replies, then leaves the room. What do you do?
