THE PHILOCALIST

“DO OR DIE”

“HELPPPPPP”, cried Nina, as she lay on the bleak surface of the dusky room. “Where am I? What does that old man want from me?”, thought Nina as she sobbed helplessly.
She could feel her head heavy and tender as she touched the scar on her scalp which she sustained after the man attacked her with something very heavy; all those horrible moments weakly trailing through her memory. She managed to get up and made her way past the things on the floor; which she could not discern clearly. She could hear the birds chirping in the window of that bleak room and she wished she could ask the birds to help her escape this disastrous situation in her life. After she reached the end of the room, she opened the gate and saw the corridor leading to one main hall and two other rooms; the doors of which were opened.
Nina thought to herself; “I should go the hallway and see if there is access to the main gate from there so that I can exit this horror of my life.”
