THE INFLICTION

Nina was exasperated at the thought of someone following without her being aware of it. She decided to open door of the car and walk away when Jack who was looking at her every motion; went on to say; “No, no, I will not let you go. After so many impatient days; I waited for this moment. Do you have any respect for my feelings or you don’t?
You beautiful people think you have everything so you will treat me like a piece of garbage. I will give you everything you need in this world. Just stay with me. You have no choice. I gave choices to people before in my life and now I regret it.”
Nina’s face was flushing with colors of embarrassment and anger at the same time, so, she opened the car door and started pacing towards the pavement. However, Jack followed her and grabbed her hand and shook her. Nina’s head was jolted at the mere thought of what will happen next. She forced her hand off from Jack and started running. Jack ran after her and finally overtook her and grabbed her hand and forced her to the car. Nina was crying helplessly and trying to escape from the situation but it was futile. Jack took her in and locked the car and Nina was crying inside, tears flowing from her eyes while Jack got back in the car and said to her; “You better stay calm and come with me or else I have other options to take you with me without all this hassle and noise.”, and while saying this he opened a white box which had an injection and small transparent vials. Shattered and petrified; Nina was at this moment, engrossed at the consequences of her crying and sobbed and mumbled to herself and God for help. All this time, Jack had a mediocre smile on his face as if he himself was not sure about his own victory when suddenly Nina moved and tried to open the door. At this point, Jack stopped the car and the screeching of the tires shivered Nina to her spine. His big, green eyes were staring Nina as if to cast a spell of silence on her and he finally opened his white box and Nina knew what was to happen next.
