You knock on the door but nothing. You'll try again, then a little harder. Then a voice responds from within, gesturing patience.
After a few seconds, a latch opens a gap in the door, just at eye level. An eyeball is projected at you through the gap, eyeballs, and then a thin old voice asks what you want here. You tell him you made a big trip and loved to stay overnight. The old man shouted that there was no empty room.
